This family business is over 180 years old. We were originally Government Surplus contractors and from the early 1900's supplied top grade, mainly second hand carpet from some of the most famous buildings and ships in the world as well as from the railways, army & RAF stations. This gave us a unique insight into how well various carpets wore and kept their appearance. In the late 70's we purchased a couple of bankruptcies. After that we started buying clearances, ends of ranges, seconds and specials. We now carry over 200 rolls and have numerous regular ranges which we order from over 30 manufacturers. I, Richard Myers, have been in carpets for 26 years, specializing mainly in the domestic market. My colleague Barry Kemsley, has been in the trade for over 30 years, his early years as a carpet fitter. He has an immense technical knowledge of both contract and domestic situations. My brother Alan, at our Mackenzie Rd branch has been 22 years in the trade and our Father, still working, can add another 58 years experience. We provide a complete estimating, planning and sampling service. |
